THE ARTWORK

-

The subject of this bright sculpture realized in perspex and neon is Superman, character of the comics created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1933, but published only from the DC Comics in 1938 and the first supereroe of the history of comics. Lodola represents him in the classical laying with a lifted arm assumed during the flight and with his typical attire: blue overall with the yellow S on the breast and red mantle.
