THE ARTWORK

-

The subject of this light sculpture in perspex and neon is the famous Freddie Mercury, pseudonym of Farrokh Bulsara (Zanzibar, 5 September 1946 - London, 24 November 1991), singer, songwriter, musician and British composer. Remembered for the vocal talent and his exuberant personality on the stage, he is considered one of the most famous and influential artists in the history of the roc. He is represented with a lifted arm while he is exhibiting and his figure is highlighted by the neon light on the back that confers a blue halo.
