THE ARTWORK

-

The Endangered Species portfolio, created in 1983, collects prints that are among the most important works of Warhol. These ten prints are the result of a conversation about the problems of ecology between Warhol himself and art dealers Ronald and Frayda Feldman, longtime political and environmental activists. The artist, being himself a lover of animals, decides to make ten prints representing each species in danger of extinction, in this case a ram. Since its creation, the portfolio has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in different parts of the world.
