massimo Giacon

Massimo Giacon was born in Padua in 1961.

In 1980, Giacon debuted in the comics drawing on the monthly Il Mago di Mondadori, continuing with Frigidaire, Tempi Supplementari, Frizzer, Linus, ALTERLINUS (Milan Books / Rizzoli), Dolce Vita, Tic, Nova Express (Granata Press), Cyborg (Telemaco), Mondo Mongo (Phoenix), Blue (Rabbit), The Artist. He collaborates, as an illustrator, in La Gola, Alfabeta, Elle, Per Lui, Glamor, Rockerilla, Rumore.

In 1981 he founded Trax together with Piermario Ciani and Vittore Baroni, which continued until 1987. Trax was a project open to interconnections involving over 500 artists and musicians from different countries in the production of records, cassettes, audiomagazine, serigraphs, comics, T-shirts and performance.

In 1984 he taught at the cartoon school Uncle Feininger. Publishes the collection of short stories, Mecanostorie, which contain works created on texts by Mimì Colucci (Primo Carnera, 1985). Among the numerous exhibitions of his comic book production, Nuovo Fumetto Italiano (1991) International Festival of the Bande Dessineée of Sierre (1993), Treviso Comics (1997), Lucca Comics & Games (1998). Illustrates various advertising campaigns, such as Eminence, Videomusic, Absolut vodka and designs objects and fabrics for Rainbow, Memphis, Interflex, Artemide, Ritzenhoff, Octopus, Design Gallery, Fine Factory, Super Ego design and watches for Swatch and the long collaboration with Ettore Sottsass study.
